When not researching and learning, Angie can be found teaching kindergarten in Peoria County. She has been an educator since 1999 and has taught Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 4th grades. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Bradley University, a master’s degree in Teaching & Leadership from Saint Xavier University, and an English as a Second Language teaching endorsement from University of Phoenix. She has also served as the Brimfield Public Library’s board secretary for several years. Angie greatly enjoys serving her community.
Children are a big part of Angie’s life and career. She formerly worked for a high school exchange program, finding homes for and learning from over fifty international students. Her family opened their home to a student from Japan, with whom they are still in touch today. Additionally, she and her husband, James, have had the pleasure of parenting two biological children and five foster children over the years. Their home is full of laughter and pet hair.”
