Orphan Train Experience: NYC to Midwest
Author and orphan train historian Renée Wendinger shares the story of her mother, one of the children of the orphan trains, who took part in a phenomenal journey from New York City to the Midwest with others like herself.
Inspired by her mother, Renée Wendinger offers a historical symposium to educators and schools, community and civic organizations, and libraries and history centers about the history of the orphan trains sprinkled with her own personal stories.
